MRT IT Peaks Limited designed and developed an interactive web-based mapping platform for visualizing palliative care service providers across different regions. The platform integrates geospatial information with facility-level information, allowing stakeholders to explore the availability and distribution of services through an intuitive map-based interface.
The platform was designed for accessibility through standard web browsers and can be updated as service providers and coverage areas change or expand.

What needed to change?

Palliative care service providers were geographically dispersed, making it difficult for stakeholders to understand where services were available and how coverage varied across regions.
Decision-makers lacked a centralized and up-to-date way to visualize service locations, identify underserved areas and service gaps, support referrals, and inform planning and coordination.

MRT IT Peaks Limited developed an interactive web-based GIS platform that brings palliative care service information into a centralized digital map. Users can explore service provider locations and related information through an intuitive interface with interactive features and filters.
The platform provides a scalable way of maintaining and updating service information as the palliative care network develops.

03 Our approach

How we made it happen.

The project started by identifying the information and mapping needs of palliative care stakeholders, then consolidated geospatial and facility information into a single, usable resource. An intuitive, map-driven web interface was designed around this data, with interactive mapping and filtering capabilities built in to make the information easy to explore. The result was a web-based platform accessible through standard browsers, designed from the outset to support future updates and expansion of service coverage using a scalable web platform architecture.

04 Results

What changed in the end?

The project improved visibility of palliative care service coverage and centralized access to service provider locations, making this information easier to find and use. It enhanced planning and coordination among stakeholders and improved the identification of underserved areas and service gaps. Service information became more accessible for referrals and decision-making, strengthening coordination across the palliative care ecosystem and supporting evidence-based planning to expand and improve palliative care services.
